“Birdman” should be seen by any and everyone who says they enjoy movies, because whether you love it or hate it, it will get under your skin, burn itself into your memory, and demand an emotional, visceral response, as all true art in any medium does.
“Gangster Squad” has lots to offer in terms of eye candy, and that’s about it, so if you like your gangster films high on style and short on substance or character depth, you’re in for a treat.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” far too often relies on plot contrivances and hits story beats that are simply too similar to the earlier film series. And guess what? They were done better, and in a more coherent fashion, the first time around.
