Like the “Wonderland” in the film, “Wonder Park” is full of good ideas. Unfortunately, little of that inspiration lives up to its potential in the execution.
Once again, the Wachowskis dare to dream big and deliver dazzling visuals in “Jupiter Ascending”, but compared to other genre-defining space opera of our time, this one’s tone deaf.
Director Sam Raimi and the screenwriters of “Oz the Great and Powerful” appear to be well aware of the fine line needed to walk in creating a new work while still paying homage to the original. For the most part, the latest 3D wonder from Disney works.
Make no mistake: “Ted”, the new buddy comedy written and directed by Seth McFarlane, the creator of “Family Guy” and “American Dad”, earns its R-rating. Oh boy, does it earn it.
