Musical theater lovers may cry foul at the changes from the stage show, but for everyone else, “Into the Woods” is a clever and fun musical fairy tale romp.
Angelina Jolie is pitch perfect as Disney’s iconic villain Maleficent, and leads a visually stunning production that’s only possible flaw, oddly enough, is its take on the title character herself.
“Million Dollar Arm” is a surprisingly engrossing and enjoyable story about chasing dreams and finding oneself in the least likely of places, brought to life with charm, grace, and humor by a talented cast led by Mad Men’s Jon Hamm.
Though its certainly predictable from fairly early on in the film, “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” is charming and entertaining thanks to a memorable performance by its young star, C.J. Adams.
